As the holidays approach I thought it would be a perfect time to share these 3 easy appetizers using phyllo cups!
These sausage ranch cups (find the recipe HERE) have been a long time favorite, but I decided I wanted to mix it up and make some different flavors using these same phyllo cups!
You can find these is the frozen section of pretty much any grocery store. I have always grabbed the Athens brand that have 15 cups per box. Each cup is just a bite or two, so if you are making these for a crowd, be sure to grab more than one!
Rasberry Brie Pecan Bites
Sweet and savory…this was my family’s favorite of the three! You can easily change the jam flavor and make this SO many ways!
Ingredients:
2 boxes of Phyllo cups
1 8 oz round of brie
Jam of your choice- We used rasberry habenero
Chopped pecans (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Place cups on an ungreased cookie sheet. Put a spoonful of brie and a spoonful of jam in each cup. Top with chopped pecans. Bake 12-16 minutes, or until brie is melted.
Spinach Artichoke Bites
This is SO simple! It’s more of an idea than an actual recipe!
Ingredients:
2 boxes of Phyllo cups
Spinach and artichoke dip- I grabbed some pre-made from my grocery store’s deli, but feel free to make your own if you’d prefer
Parmesan cheese
Panko
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Place cups on an ungreased cookie sheet. Put a spoonful of spinach artichoke dip in each cup. Top with parmesan and panko. Bake 12-16 minutes, or until cheese is melted and panko toasted.
Maple Bacon Bites
Another sweet and savory option….and who doesn’t like bacon?!?
Ingredients:
2 boxes of Phyllo cups
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
6 slices of bacon
Maple syrup
Directions:
Bake or fry your bacon about 80% of the way. It will bake more in the cup. Cut into small pieces. Preheat oven to 375. Preheat oven to 375. Place cups on an ungreased cookie sheet. Mix cream cheese and brown sugar. Put a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in each cup. Top with bacon. Bake 12-16 minutes, or until bacon is desired crispness. Top with a drizzle of maple syrup
All three of these choices are easy and provide a delicious 1-2 bite treat.
I hope these give you some new, fun appetizer options as we head into the holiday season!
