Christmas Tree Appetizer Tray

December 12, 2019

This veggie Christmas tree tray seriously takes 5 minutes to put together and is SO fun and festive!

We eat a lot of junk and sweets this time of year….more than I’d like to admit!  Maybe displaying veggies in a fun way will encourage people to add some of them to their plate….next to the cookies and candy!

This would be perfect if you are hosting or need to bring a dish for a get together!  I also grabbed this Green Goddess dip from Trader Joe’s to set in a bowl next to my tree for dipping.  Any ranch or veggie dip you like would work!

Supplies:

1 flat, rectangular tray, you can find some here, here and here

1 star cookie cutter, find one here

Ingredients:

1-2 cucumbers, sliced

A bag of mini carrots

1 bag of sugarsnap peas

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 slice of cheese

Ranch of veggie dip for the side (optional)

Feel free to sub a different veggie for whatever your crew likes better!

Directions:

Starting at the bottom, place a layer of sliced cucumbers on your tray, expanding the full width of the tray.

Next layer carrots, making this layer slightly less wide.  Continue in this pattern up the tray, making each layer a little less wide than the layer before.

I like to use sugarsnap peas at the very top because they look the most like branches,  Bring them to a rough point….it does not have to be exact because the star will cover it.

Use your cookie cutter to cut a star from your slice of cheese and place it at the very top!

Done!  Feel free to add a bowl of ranch or your favorite veggie dip on the side!

This veggie Christmas tree tray is sure to make your guests smile!

Meat, Cheese, Grapes and Crackers
