I hope you LOVE your Crisp Cringle elf kit! These are the instructions for the 2024 25 day kit! The theme for this year is, “Oh What Fun!” and I truly hope this kit brings the FUN back to this tradition. This kit is intended to start December 1st and end Christmas Day, although we did include a few extras! The order of the days are a suggestion and meant to help keep the kit organized, but feel free to switch them around as you please!
We hope you will follow along as we “elf” together on Instagram @crispcollectiveig HERE. We will video setting up each day, as well as sharing inspiration from fellow elfers. I look forward to doing this tradition together all year! Thank you for letting us help create a bit of Christmas magic for your family! If you have any questions or issues, don’t hesitate to reach out via Etsy or email info@crispcollective.org.
USE ANYTIME BAG
These Claus Pause cards are not assigned to any specific day. They are just a fun way to leave your child individual notes throughout the month! There should be two per kid.
Should you forget to move your elf. (it happens to ALL of us!!) this card is for you! Set this card out to explain why he did not move. You can use it the next day or sneakily set it out later in the day, since the card claims he flew home quick to explain!
You will also find FOUR blank cards to use as you please should you want to add a personal note to any of the days!
Day 1: Arrival Day
Supplies: Hot air balloon, roll of twine-loose in your box
Up , up and away card and welcome letter-found in the Bag marked “Days 1-7”
Instructions:
Follow package instructions to assemble your hot air balloon. Tie your twine to the hook at the top of the balloon and hang the balloon somewhere in your home. Put the twine back in your box-we will use it multiple times throughout the kit.
Place your elf in the hot air balloon basket with the up, up and away card. Address the welcome letter to your kid(s) and sign it from your elf! If you ordered for more than one elf, each elf has his own balloon.
DO NOT put the shoes on your elf yet! They are part of Day 2!
Day 2: Shoes Clues Scavenger Hunt!
Supplies: The Help! card, Clue 1, 2 and 3 cards, and the high top sneakers- all from the Bag marked “Days 1-7”
Instructions: Place your elf’s legs in a pair of shoes- your child’s or yours! Boots, sneakers…whatever they will think is funny!
Place the Help! card next to your elf and clue 1 close by.
Hide Clue 2 somewhere in the bathroom. Tape it to the toilet, mirror, or put it on the toilet paper roll. You can make this as easy or as difficult as you’d like for your child to find.
Place Clue 3 in a bedroom or somewhere where there is a bed.
Place your elf’s new shoes wherever you store silverware. Place the shoes close to your elf so he can arrive wearing them Day 3. If you ordered for more than one elf, each elf has his own pair of shoes.
Day 3: Oh What Fun! Ornament
Supplies: Oh What Fun! ornament and card- found in the bag labeled, “Days 1-7”
Instructions: Place the card, ornament and your elf on your tree or set the card on your wooden easel with the ornament so your child can place it on the tree.
Day 4: Roll Out!
Supplies: Wooden rolling pin, Roll out card, apron, chef’s hat, red crepe paper, high top shoes-all found in the bag labeled, “Days 1-7”
Instructions: Tie the apron on your elf and put the hat on his head. Cut 2 long strips of the red crepe paper. Sit your elf down with his legs extended and place one strip of crepe paper over each leg. Stuff each end of the crepe paper strip into a high top. Place the wooden rolling pin in your elf’s lap, so it appears he has “rolled out” his own legs. Place the roll out card near your elf. You can set it on your wooden easel if you’d like!
If you ordered for more than one elf, each elf has his own apron and hat. Your second elf can be working the rolling pin.
Day 5: I see London…

Instructions: Place the scarf around your elf’s neck. Place the card on the wooden easel. Tear off a few strips of toilet paper to create your “snow hill.” I placed mine on my couch, but you can also use a chair, stairs, toys stacked up or pillows stacked on a bed.
Place your elf in his tube like he’s ready to ride. You can also put other stuffed animals, action figures, etc. at the bottom of the hill like they are watching or have already had their turn.
If you ordered for more than one elf, each elf has his own scarf and tube.
Day 7: Snow from the North Pole
Supplies: Brought you back snow card, shovel, snow packet-all found in the bag labeled “Days 1-7”. If you ordered for more than one child, you will find an additional shovel and snow packet in the bag labeled, “Additional kid supplies’
Instructions: Place the card, packet and shovel next to your elf. Follow the packet instructions to create your “snow”.
Day 8: North Pole Post Office
Supplies: North Pole Post office sheet, Letter(s) to Santa- both located at the bottom of your box, as they are too large for the bags. Black plastic cup
Instructions: Fold the post office sheet along the lines to make a trifold.
Place your elf in the black cup so he does not fall over.
Place the cup behind the trifold so only the elf’s face shows. Place the letters to Santa out for your children to complete. We print these on heavy cardstock so they can be a keepsake.
Be sure to put your black cup back in the box- we will use it again!
Day 9: Christmas Tree Farm
Supplies: Christmas tree farm card, Plant me “seed”, paper straw-found in the bag labeled “Days 9-17”, mini easel. black plastic cup. Christmas tree balloon-found at the bottom of your box.
Instructions: BLOW UP YOUR CHRISTMAS BALLOON! Insert your straw into the valve hole and fully inflate your Christmas tree balloon. When you pull the straw out, the valve should seal it shut. We tested hundreds of these balloons, but you want to make sure there are no issues with your balloon BEFORE you plant a seed to “grow” it. HIde your inflated balloon to be used tomorrow.
If there is a problem with your balloon, please contact us immediately via Etsy or email at info@crispcollective.org. We replace the balloon asap. Skip these days and come back once your replacement has arrived.
Set the Christmas Tree Farm card on the easel. Fill your black cup with approx. 1/2 cup of sugar, salt, dirt…whatever you want to use! Place the Plant Me seed close by.
Have your child open the seed and plant it in the black cup.
Day 10: Christmas Tree Magic
Supplies: Black cup, inflated Christmas tree, ANYWHERE card
Instructions: Place the balloon on top of the cup. You may want to place it by a wall or somewhere it can be propped up a bit.
Place the ANYWHERE card on the easel. Allow your child(ren) to move their new tree wherever they please…Christmas magic!
Day 11: RUDE-off
Supplies: RUDE-off card, wooden easel and soft slap bracelet from the bag labeled “Days 9-17”

If you’d like to see a video of us setting this up, remember that we’ll share a video set up of ALL the days on Instagram @crispcollectiveig
When you are done, simply lift the lid and fold up the saran wrap or foil. No popcorn should go into your bowl.
If you don’t want to use your toilet, you can grab whatever vessel would make your kids laugh. I used my son’s bike helmet above.
Day16: North Pole Zip Line
Supplies: Twine, zip line card

This one doesn’t photograph super well, but I hope it’s so much fun!
Supplies: 2 suction cup clips, Santa’s Sleigh card and quote bubble card-found in the bag labeled, “Days 18-25”
Instructions: Attach the clips to your elf’s hands. Attach the suction cups to the inside of the window of your car. I did my driver’s window because the rest are tinted, but the rear window would be funny too! Slide the cards into the clips and watch people’s reactions all day!
If you ordered for more than one elf, find extra clips in your “additional elf supplies” bag. You can give each elf a card.
If you’d prefer not to place the elf in your car, you can put him on a window or sliding glass door in your home.

Instructions: Place pirate mask on the elf. Set card next to him with coins…OR place coins leading to finding the pirate elf, possibly in a cabinet or drawer.
We will show this idea, and video of all the set up on my Instagram @crispcolletiveig

Instructions: Make sure your whoopee cushion is fully inflated. You may use your paper straw to blow a little more air into it. Write the number of days until Christmas on your card. Place the cushion on a chair. Place the card on top of it.
Place your elf somewhere nearby. I hope your children have fun sitting on this whoopee cushion and hiding it for others….these types of jokes are always a hit at my house!
Day 22: Tic Tac HO HO HO
Supplies: Tic Tac Ho Ho Ho card, 5 red bows, 5 green bows

Instructions: This one is perfect if you have a day you plan to bake or decorate cookies with your kids! Dress your elf in the apron and hat. Set out all the necessary supplies and write them a note using one of the blank cards.
If you don’t want to bake, use sprinkles, sugar or salt to make snow angels (pictured above on a baking sheet for easy cleanup) or have your elf make a mess in the kitchen as if he has been baking. You could also surprise your kids with a sweet treat so it appears their elf baked them something special.
Day24: Claus Confett1

Instructions: How adorable are these poppers?! Take them outdoors to pop them before heading to bed Christmas Eve!

BONUS:
This one is optional, but for our family, while we LOVE all the fun and festivities, JESUS is the reason for the season. Place this card open to the story of Jesus’s birth in the Bible or near a nativity scene. I usually do this set up AND the goodbye letter above for Christmas day.
I cannot thank you enough for “elfing” with us this year! My hope is that this kit helped bring JOY to your family and took some stress off of you in an already stressful season! Thank you for letting us play a small part in your family’s Christmas magic! OH WHAT FUN!!!
