As my boys get older, they mainly want to gift money or gift cards to their buddies!
While I totally get that, I also still like to make it fun! Lately we’ve been gifting lots of these Happy (birthday) Meals! A Happy Meal is nostalgic for me, and I hope it makes you smile too!
Supplies:
Happy Meal box
Crinkle paper (optional)
Medium McDonald’s fry box
$1 bills
A small card game-I linked a few we like below:
Sweet treats/candy:
Printable tag (provided below)
White cardstock if printing at home
Small clothespin, paper clip, staple, etc. to attach tag
Directions:
You can see a video of me putting this gift together HERE.
Place some crinkle at the bottom of your Happy Meal box. Place your card game, candy and money fries inside.
Close the box and attach your printable tag (provided below)
Money Fries
My boys also love this gift because it starts with me buying them a Happy Meal. We use the Happy Meal box as the gift container and ask for an empty medium fry container when we order. I always offer to pay for it, but the McDonald’s employees are always very kind to just give me one. This post is in no way sponsored by McDonald’s, so don’t quote me on this. This generosity may vary from location to location. If they do charge me at some point, I will update this post and let you know the cost.
I go to my bank and get $1 bills. Fifteen to forty dollars fits nicely in the medium fry container, depending on how tightly you roll them.
