My girlfriend Katie shared this slow cooker BBQ chicken recipe with me, as it is one of their family’s favorites…
and I’m pretty sure it’s one of ours now too!
We put our BBQ chicken on thin buns and topped with an easy broccoli slaw (see below) last Sunday. I threw the chicken in the slow cooker when I got up, and it was ready by the time we got home church! Doesn’t get much easier than that!
BBQ Chicken Ingredients:
1.5-2 lbs of boneless chicken breasts
1 cup of BBQ sauce
1/2 cup Italian dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Slow cooker liner for easy cleanup, here
BBQ Chicken Directions:
Line slow cooker. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place at the bottom of your crockpot.
Mix all other ingredients in a small bowl and stir well.
Pour mixture over chicken. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Shred chicken and place back in crockpot until ready to serve so that chicken in covered in sauce.
This chicken is great on a bun or over a salad! Easy and flavorful!

Broccoli Slaw
For the broccoli slaw, I grabbed this bag at Target. There is a recipe on the back, but it has mayo, and that is a no go with my hubby! So I mixed this bag with 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoons of sugar and the juice from half a lemon, and it was so fresh and tasty! I liked the little bit of crunch on our sandwiches!
We also had these parmesan zucchini spears as a side!
