How Walmart+ Saved our Saturday Morning….

Like you, we have been spending more time at home this year.  Many of our traditional events around the holidays just aren’t happening this year, so it has been very important to me to try to create some Christmas magic at home.

We have a small break in our sports schedule right now, and I am LOVING the leisurely Saturday mornings, not having to rush out the door to the soccer field, hoping we grabbed all the right water bottles and socks!  So with this new found freedom, I decided to make a fun Christmas breakfast for the boys! 

Green waffles, sausage balls, eggs, fruit, toppings to decorate our “tree”…..gang’s all here!  And then I went to the pantry and realized we were out of syrup!!  Like Santa, I make a list and check it twice, but it never fails that I often leave out a KEY ingredient!  I just assumed my boys would not put the bottle back in the pantry empty (wrong!)  Who does that?!  But more importantly in that moment… how can we have waffles with no syrup!  I hopped on my Walmart+ account and ordered a bottle of syrup, along with a few other necessities for the week.  

Crises averted and the Christmas magic went as planned!  While I could have hopped in the car for a quick trip, stepping out to my front door, still in my pjs, was WAY better!!  I can’t tell you how many times I have been thankful for this Walmart+ free delivery from my store option! One thing I have learned, especially as a mom, is that WE are the ones that make most of the Christmas magic happen, and sometimes you just need a little help now and then.  Having the option to have items delivered quickly to your door is amazing, and I WISH this had existed when my boys were babies and my hubby traveled more!

Another benefit of Walmart+ is member prices on fuel!

I went to the pumps at my local Walmart and selected Walmart+ on the touch screen.  You put in a code that is provided on the app and receive the member price on fuel!  This benefit is also available at Murphy gas stations.  We are constantly on the go, so savings like this add up! 

Mobile scan & go

A Walmart+ membership also includes the new mobile scan & go feature in the Walmart app!  For times that we want to shop in store, we can scan items while we shop and check out in the app!  Saves time and makes shopping contact free!  

I have loved all of the holiday decor I have found this season at Walmart!  They seriously have some of the cutest finds, and it’s always affordable!

Cost of Membership

Membership costs $12.95 per month or $98 for the year.  This means the membership pays for itself in two home deliveries a month (based on a $7.95 delivery fee), not to mention the fuel and mobile  scan & go benefits!  PLUS, the new Walmart+ free shipping, no order minimum (excludes freight/Marketplace items) makes this a no brainer!  All the items you can buy are the same low everyday prices.  To me, the time I will save and the easy to use app features make this such an amazing membership, and just more reason for me to love Walmart!
