“Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more…”
What is your favorite Christmas movie? The Grinch is definitely one of ours, so we decided to make this Grinch inspired hot chocolate in the slow cooker! This method works perfect for a crowd and is sure to make your little Whos smile!
Ingredients:
12 oz. white chocolate baking chips
2 cups of heavy cream
5 cups of milk (I used 2%)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Green food coloring
Toppings:
Marshmallows or whipped cream
Red and/or heart sprinkles….since the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes! You can find the heart sprinkles we used HERE.
Directions:
Combine the white chocolate, heavy cream, milk and vanilla in your slow cooker. Stir and cover. Put slow cooker on low for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, letting the chocolate melt. Add in a few drops of green food coloring. Take your slow cooker setting down to warm once chocolate has melted. Add toppings of choice!
I love these clear mugs so that you can really see the green!
You can find a set HERE.
While we are all about the Grinch today, you can also use this same recipe with a different color for other events! Pink or blue for a winter baby shower would be a sweet touch!
My Slow Cooker
I just cracked my old slow cooker and was in the market for a new one! I thought this one was SO pretty and I love that it has high, low and warm settings.
It comes in 4 colors HERE and is under $50.
This entire Beautiful line is from Walmart home, and so sleek and pretty in person! I grabbed the toaster oven as well. Most of these appliances come in 3-4 colors, but the black and white are definitely my favorite! The gold accents are the perfect touch!
