Jump to Recipe - Print Recipe

This Dr. Pepper slow cooker pulled pork is a staple at our house!

In can be made in a big batch and used in a number of recipes!  Today I used it to make these sliders!

Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

1 pork butt/shoulder (3-5 lbs)

2 cans of Dr. Pepper- the real deal, no diet

12-18 oz of your favorite BBQ sauce, divided

Slow Cooker liners

Pulled Pork Directions:

Line your slow cooker with a liner and set pork inside.  Top with Dr. Pepper and BBQ sauce, leaving a little BBQ sauce for topping at the end.  Cook 6-8 hours on high.  When meat is ready you should be able to easily shred it with two forks.

Once your pork is done (you can even make it overnight!), it will take about 20 minutes to make your slider!

You can also use this slow cooker pulled pork for this recipe with a corbread waffle and slaw!

Sounds like a strange combo, but it is SO good!
