Spicy Fruit Salad

May 26, 2020

We like a little spice at our house, so we created a fun spicy fruit salad that will be perfect for BBQs, pool parties or an afternoon snack this summer!

You can really use whatever fruit you have, is seasonal or that your family likes!  The secret is in the sauce!

This tajin is the secret to the spice!  Find it in the Hispanic section of your local grocery store!

Spicy Sauce Ingredients:

This is the amount I used for roughly 6 cups of fruit.  Feel free to adjust for the amount of fruit.  Add more honey to make it sweeter, more Tajin to make it spicier!

3 tablespoons of honey

Juice from a small lime

1 teaspoon Tajin- more or less depending on the amount of spice you prefer

pinch of sea salt

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.

Fruit Salad:

Gather the fruit that you want to include, wash and cut into bite sized pieces.

I used approximately 6 cups of fruit.

Mix all fruit together and pour your spicy sauce on top.

Stir until all fruit is coated in the sauce.  Serve immediately or cover and chill.

Just a simple side that is perfect for a hot summer day!  I hope this spicy fruit salad makes it’s way to your table or backyard soon!
