Here’s a confession: I hate ribs. I actually don’t like any meat you have to chew off a bone. Don’t ask me to rationalize it (looking at you hubs!)…it’s just not my thing!
BUT my husband is definitely a fan, and sometimes I make meals that are really just for him! On nights I am rushing out the door as he comes home from work to teach dance class or go meet up with girlfriends, I feel a little less mom guilt for sticking him with bath and bedtime duty if these bad boys are waiting for him!
While I am not really qualified to give a review as far as taste, he raves that these are fall off the bone, melt in your mouth good, and on my end, they take only minutes to make! I should also say that if something I make does not taste good or a recipe needs adjusting….he is quick to let me know, which I appreciate (most of the time! lol!) He is my favorite taste tester!
Ingredients:
1-2 racks of ribs
2 cups beef broth
your favorite BBQ sauce
Salt and pepper to taste or rub of your choice
Directions:
Place your ribs on a lined baking sheet. Cut your rack into 2-3 smaller sections, and generously season with your favorite rub or salt and pepper. We just use salt and pepper!
Pour the beef broth into your instant pot and place the trivet that comes with it at the bottom…..how ’bout that broth selfie?! Haha!
Place the ribs on the trivet. There is no need to put BBQ sauce on yet because it would all just drip to the bottom as the ribs cooked….trust me, that was the first way I tried this!
Securely place the lid on your instant pot, making sure the vent is closed. Press the meat button and set to 25 minutes. Let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then quickly release the rest.
Remove ribs from instant pot and place back on your baking sheet. Brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy!
An easy, mainly hands off method for making fall off the bone ribs that rib-eaters will love…I’ll be over here eating a sandwich!
