How is it already August?!
August is always a big month for our family with our wedding anniversary (12 years this week!) and Logan’s birthday! As a former teacher, I still tend to look at the calendar through the lense of the school year (August-July), rather than the calendar year (Jan-Dec.), so August always marks new beginnings….the start of a new school year and sports (hopefully!) Hard to believe we will have a second grader and kindergartener in the house! It is bittersweet, especially with the state of everything, but we are staying postive and trying to get the boys pumped for school….even if they are learning from a screen to start. I hope you will take time to make some goals for the month…we all need something to work toward and get excited about!
A little recap of what I’ve shared lately:
Indoor Sterno S’mores Station and S’mores Board
The Texas heat is REAL, so we set up this indoor s’more station that was so fun! Open flames in the house….and it’s still standing!
Find out how to set up your own and details on this s’mores board HERE.
July Amazon Finds
This fan may be a little extra, but so is this summer heat!! This has probably been my favorite purchase this month! It charges via USB, has three settings and lights up! Find it HERE.
I shared my favorite finds…fashion and some randomness…from Amazon HERE.
DIY Lego Board and Lego Storage
Calling all Lego lovers and mamas tired of trying not to cuss from stepping on said Legos….this post is for you! I shared our new Lego storage solution and this simple DIY Lego board that can hang on the wall and then be taken down to serve as a huge building surface on a table or the floor! It can also easily be stored under a bed! This would be fun in a classroom too!
Find the easy Lego board tutorial and storage solutions HERE.
Kirklands
Kirklands has their end of season clearance going on with up to 75% off!
I rounded up lots of clearance and sale favorties HERE.
Magnolia
My boys had a couple days of “cousin camp” this week, so I snuck off for a super quick trip to Waco with my college girlfriends! Most of Magnolia is under construction, and I can’t wait to see it completed. They are adding new shops, a baseball field, and a historic church!
I shared more pics HERE.
I’ll be hosting a couple of days of cousin camp later this week…bring on the coffee and chaos!
Thank you for being here! Excited to see what this new month will bring! We can do this!
