Gluten Free Peach Dump Cake

June 7, 2020

Jump to Recipe - Print Recipe

This peach dump cake is the perfect easy dessert!

Peaches are in season, and my girlfriend picked up some for us from The Peach Truck this week!  So with so many peaches that were ripe at the same time, we needed a fun dessert!

We grilled a few using this method HERE, and used the rest in this dump cake recipe that only requires 4 ingredients.  I used a gluten free cake mix to make this gluten free for my hubby, but you can use any cake mix your family likes!  We also busted out our ice cream maker, a summer staple at our house!  I share a recipe for making vanilla ice cream below as well.

Ingredients for this Peach Dump Cake:

2-3 cups of peaches, peeled and sliced OR 2 cans of peach slices in heavy syrup

Cake mix-Choose a gluten free version to make this a GF recipe.

1 stick of butter, melted

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup of sugar-OPTIONAL if you feel like your peaches are not sweet enough on their own.

Directions:

Grease a baking pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place peaches in your pan.  If you are adding extra sugar, sprinkle it on top of your peaches.

Sprinkle your cake mix evenly on top.

Pour melted butter on top as evenly as possible and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake 35-45 minutes, or until top is slightly browned.

Take out of the oven and let cool 5-10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients for Ice Cream:

We have had this Cuisinart ice cream maker HERE for a couple of years now, and it is a summer staple!  We love to mix it up and get creative with the flavors, but these are the ingredients for a great, basic vanilla!

1 cup whole milk

3/4 cups granulated sugar

2 cups heavy whipping cream

1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

pinch of salt

Directions for Ice Cream

Chill the bowl to your Cuisinart ice cream maker overnight in the freezer.  Combine  milk and sugar in a bowl until sugar is dissolved.  Stir in heavy cream, vanilla and salt.  Place mixture in the fridge for a minimum of an hour.  Pour mixture into frozen Cuisinart bowl, turn machine on and mix for 15-25 minutes until thickened.  Place in an airtight container and place in the freezer until ready to serve.  Scoop onto your dump cake and sprinkle with cinnamon.

If you don’t want to make your own ice cream, grab your favorite vanilla from the store!

This peach dump cake can be remixed with different fruits and is such an easy dessert to feed a crowd.  Perfect summer treat!
